Government funding for cycle training for children (Bikeability) for 2008/09 has been announced. Worcestershire County Council will get £18,000 to train 450 kids. Doesn’t look like Herefordshire asked for any money, though.

Time to bid for cycle training grants

Published 13th December: An application form for local authorities to download and return to bid for cycle training grants in 2008-09, from Department of Transport. Grants are being made available up to a maximum of £40 per child to provide national standard cycle training, Bikeability, in schools.
Note to self: check what is happening in Worcestershire (and Herefordshire?)
